Inscape Duo
Piano and harmonica. The sound of the piano is like a wave that is constantly coming in, whereas the chromatic harmonica sounds like a red kite circling in the wind. Both instruments are at the opposite end of the musical spectrum, not only in terms of size, but also in terms of construction, historical development and the very nature of their sound. Inspace Duo is centred on Andrew and Shima as soloists interacting with their instruments and through their collaboration creating new pieces of work.

Given that distinctions between people are too often used to justify unequal treatment, we must first assert that the source and foundation of our music is that our equality springs from our shared humanity. We’re all different, but we’re all human beings and therefore of equal worth.
